Did You Miss Me?

My fingers are aching to type. I know that seems backwards, but it's been a LONG time since I've written on my blog. I've been B-U-S-Y at work lately, driving, training, and dispatching for more hours each week than I've done before. On the weekends, when I'm not catching up on some sleep, I'm spending time with my family. Right now, I have a chance to write because my family's asleep and I napped this morning. But I have a problem.

I don't have a specific topic in mind to write about. This post may just wander from one thing to another with no clear line of thought. Or there could be some random weirdness. Look! A distraction! Did you look? Because I did. Wow! What a distraction!

What was I saying? Oh yeah, wanting to write but not having a topic. I guess I could tell you how I've read another story by an author who's quickly becoming a personal favorite or how the world has lately redefined colors or how Marissa is putting together a CD of Holy Spirit inspired instrumental music called "Healing Wings." There's the story of how I ate Luling and the time I used the word "fascinate" in a sentence. We even have a new charity in town that I've been telling people about. But all of those things leave me wanting more: mainly, the juicy details and the time to tell you all about them. So, I'll just skip to the important stuff...

Aidan has developed into an ape with green-feathered wings. I've learned very quickly that I have to be careful with what I do and say around him because mimicry has become his favorite game. He even says, "Mecho," when I say, "Repeat," and "Repeat," when I say, "Echo." He loves being outside and looking at clouds and airplanes with me or digging in the dirt with his chovel. He's such a joy to be around!

Peyson is another joy to be around. He laughs with his whole body and smiles with his whole face. He'll often catch my eye and just squirm with delight. I love being his daddy and I can hardly wait until the day he says his first word. His rolling is now a second-nature skill, but crawling still eludes him. However, I don't think it'll be long at all before he's burrowing under a mountain of pillows on the living room floor to find Aidan and me.

I'm really enjoying my life right now; I wish I could share it with you more often. Perhaps in the coming days, I'll find a moment or two to sit and write a little. Until then, be blessed and keep smiling!

(My fingers feel much better now!)
