At Aidan's 9-month checkup this week, his doctor said it was time to introduce meat to his diet. Marissa and I were both excited about this new development until we remembered that meat means a new smell at the changing table. Now with clouds over our heads, we just couldn't bring ourselves to grind the meat at home so we bought some stage 2 baby foods: chicken and turkey.
He felt like chicken tonight. Here's his immediate reaction:
No need to worry; he finished half of the jar. I think he likes it. Yard birds, you've been warned!
By the way, Aidan continues to shatter his growth charts. Here's his new stats:
- Height: 30 3/4 inches
- Weight: 25 pounds, 8 ounces
- Head: 19 1/4 inches

Have you tasted baby food chicken? Please photograph and post your reaction.
I'm guessing the results will be similar! ;-)

I've both tasted and smelled it! It would be difficult to have any other reaction. Aidan knows what is good and what is not. :-)
He really is a big boy, too! Blake just had his six-month check-up and the doctor told us he was the size of a one-year-old (in fact, the nurse said he was bigger than her 15-month-old). Yet he is not as big as Aidan!
