Amazing

I can't think of a better title for this post.

We were helping Aidan wind down tonight in his room. He was looking through his favorite book and we were asking him where different characters were. Then we took the questions beyond the book: where's your eye?; where's your nose?; etc. He found them all! We tried "chair," "light," "book," and several others. He knew where to look for each one, even brought us the book I read at church a while back.

Then the Holy Spirit prompted me to ask him, "Aidan, where is Jesus?" He stopped what he was doing, glanced all around the room, thought about his lamp for moment, and then pointed to his chest. His heart. Marissa and I are still weeping in awe and in joy. That a person as young and preverbal as Aidan has such understanding is amazing to me. God is so awesome!
