Happy Resurrection Sunday!

That's right! "Easter" has become too commercialized and rabbit-related. It is the celebration of Jesus' resurrection from the dead!!

The message at church this morning was great: "Resurrect Your Life!" Since Jesus is our Savior and Great Example, it's fully possible, and expected, for us to have newness in every part of our lives: relationships, jobs, finances, health, attitudes, etc. Jesus wasn't the only one resurrected in history; there's Lazarus and Talitha to name just two. But Jesus was the only one to come back to life having stripped the devil of his power. That power He then bestowed upon believers through the promise of the Father, the Holy Spirit.

Why do so many of us live dead lives with no joy or peace or any of the other fruit of the Spirit (Galatians 5:22-23)? Jesus died so we didn't have to. He's now alive forevermore! We should all follow His example and resurrect all facets of our lives.

I must admit, this is a much-boiled-down summary of Dr. Linda's teaching. She went into Old Testament types and customs and has clearly had a great revelation of the truth she was proclaiming. If you're seeking deep insight into the Word of God, PowerHouse is a great place to look.

Be blessed and remember: you don't have to stay in a dead situation. Jesus has made it totally possible to experience a resurrection and live life to its fullest (John 10:10).
