I started Lamentations and finished Psalms in one sitting today. It was difficult to read 12 commands to praise God after reading Jeremiah's sorrows. However, I see here a reminder that God is God despite circumstances, that He is worthy of praise even on our worst of worst days, and that we are blessedly no longer subject to His wrath. We have Jesus to thank for that!
I also found the contrast between Psalm 150:6 and Lamentations 1:19 interesting—Zion could no longer praise God; her priests had breathed their last.
