I've been working on what I thought would be a short story for about a month. It's a science fiction tale that has just got me captivated (I can't wait to find out what happens next!). Well, I did a word count today and found that I've written over 10000 words on this story! That's more than I've ever written in a single work before.
I was curious about how many words are in a typical novel. So I googled it. I'm not quite at a novel yet, but 10000 is a cut-off point between short stories and novelettes. And I'm nowhere near being done! I'll keep working on the story and I'll try to keep you updated as progress continues. There could be a published novel in my near future! Stay tuned!
