I'm Endorsing A Candidate

You have probably noticed the big purple addition to my sidebar. As we enter into the last couple of days before Election Day 2008, I wanted to make sure everyone knew where I stood:

Jesus is Lord!

While I know He can't run for office in this country, you can vote Him into your life. There's no ballot to fill out. You don't even have to wait for November 4 (fourth). The Bible boldly declares that today is the day of salvation (II Corinthians 6:2). Why wait?

Jesus Christ has exhibited excellent qualifications to fill the office of King of Kings. His reign was foretold by numerous trusted prophets. He was born into the family line of King David. Other kings of His day sought Him out to give Him gifts, seek His wisdom, and bow before Him. He lived a sinless life (find that anywhere in politics!) until the moment of His death when the Bible says that He became sin for us (II Corinthians 5:21). And He's a war hero to boot: death, hell, and the grave have all been defeated by Him.

Some of His platform points include, but by no means are limited to: assurance of an abundant life; prosperity and peace of spirit, soul, and body; a tax system that's easy to understand and completely perfect in application (10% is all He demands—you keep 90%); access to His Father, Almighty God; answered prayers; and guidance, instruction, and assistance in every aspect of life through His Holy Spirit.

The polls have been open for about two thousand years but there's no time like the present. Vote Jesus Christ for King of Kings. Here's how to do so (it's simpler than using a modern voting booth and there's no risk of hanging chads!): (1) confess with your mouth and your life that Jesus is Lord and (2) believe in your heart that God raised Him bodily from the dead. That's it! You shall be saved (Romans 10:9-10)! Time is short so cast your vote now!
