It was a good thing it was shredded and not cut; Aidan tried his first taste of cheese today. Marissa and I were both amazed that he liked it: he kept asking for more!
Probably because it was such a new and different texture from his favorite baby food vegetable (squished squash), at first he scrunched up his face and looked like he was about ready to cry. Then the flavor hit him. He rolled the little string around on his tongue a few times and swallowed. Then it was all we could do to feed him the rest of it fast enough.
At one point, I switched back to the squash. He just about spit it in my face! Our boy sure loves his cheese! Next thing we know he'll be ordering a cheeseburger with a side of macaroni and chasing it all down with dessert: cheesecake of course!
